What Makes Us Different?

We refuse to spray, treat, or chemically intervene—even if it costs us hives. We value purity over profit. Our bees and honey are free from all treatments. If a hive cannot survive without chemicals, it will not pass its genes here.

“Patience is nature’s reward.”

The Bees

Coal Lake Honey stands for true respect for bees and the land. Our bees are free to face the challenges of the world naturally. If adversity comes, we let nature decide the outcome—no interference, no treatments, just natural selection and honest honey.

No rescue, no chemical “best practices”, no exceptions.

Our Story: The Patient Path

  1. 2024
Three hives arrive at Coal Lake, Alberta.

The adventure begins. First bees placed on wild land. No treatments. No interference.

  2. 2025-26
    Observing, learning, letting nature decide.

We watch, document, and learn. Nature has her way. Hives that survive are meant to.

  3. 2027
First honey harvest available for sale!

If the bees thrive, so will the honey. Our promise: nothing added, nothing taken away.
